After acquiring a... Review by RatBobber
After acquiring a basket-case 1973 T-140 as collateral on a defaulted loan, I contemplated parting the bike out piece by piece. I had only read about Triumphs, and someone once told me they were like dating a cheerleader.. smokin hot but high maintenance (pretty much true, right?). After tapping into a few blogs and shopping various parts on ebay, I found my way to the lowbrow site and ultimately these videos.
Hell-bent on parting the bike out, I took a chance and ordered the videos, mainly to help identify parts.

Long story short.. its a good thing I waited for the DVDs to arrive before I put parts up on ebay. These DVDs together with the aforementioned research and blogging turned me into a bonafide Triumph guy. I plopped down with a sixer of tall Pabst cans and threw the DVD's in.. next thing I know, I'm in the garage pulling out the sludge trap.

Its a shame I'm not able to post pics of the bike. These videos were instrumental in my decision to tackle a full on rebuild.. and I'm nothing more than a drive-way mechanic. Yes, there were some tools I had to invest in, but I was able to do a full on rebuild with a relatively inexpensive gasket set, new pistons and rings that were readily available, and a home-made engine stand. I eventually put her all back together with my basic set of hand tools and a few trips to the hardware store... oh yeah, and these AMAZING videos of course.

The only "con" I can find is that these videos have the potential to put old Triumph mechanics out of business.. They are THAT good. I am serious. Like candy from a baby. Everything is there. There is nothing you can't do. Buy it. Stop reading this, order it and get to work on your bike until they arrive. Then get some PBR, coffee, whatever.. and build that sweet-ass ride! GO! NOW!!!!
