Now available, Choppahead Chopper Animals & Mayhem Machines Vol. 1, straight from Big Truth in Boston. All of you into brit bikes, be sure to check this out, as Choppahead builds some of the nicest limey choppers and bobbers around, and there are plenty profiled in this video.
VOLUME 1 is finally here after years in the making! The FIRST DVD documentary/mag/video on home built choppers/kustom cycles, their builders, and the underground chopper (and hot rod) scene. It's filmed skate video style, with profiles on different builders along with footage from different shows and events - from all over the country. Awesome bikes, awesome times, awesome music. DON'T SLEEP ON THIS!
From the back cover: The chopper phenomenon has hit new heights recently due to a slew of TV shows and high-profile builders. But before this current wave of fancy shops, mortgage priced bikes, and superstar builders came to light, the chopper subculture was (and still is) heralded by the home-builder. The true essence lies with the guy that works a full day, comes home and then builds in his garage (or kitchen, or living room) till 3am the guy that builds out of passion rather than profit. The guy that turns out a killer custom with limited time, tooling, and resources.
This DVD pays homage the home bike builder and explores the undergound chopper scene. Follow Big Truth & crew as they go out on-location across the country and profile home-builders, small grassroots shops, and underground bike/hot rod shows (including the Smokey Mountain Smokeout, Viva Las Vegas, Harley 100th, and more). Youll get an inside look into the madness, ingenuity, debauchery, and shenanigans that surrounds this world!
The soundtrack is as gritty and rough as the film. It features tracks and bonus videos from legendary hardcore/punk/and metal acts such as: Slapshot, Blood For Blood, Terror, 100 Demons, North Side Kings, Scissorfight, and many more!

Pros - Street born, no hollywood celebs, no bling battleships
Cons - They keep cutting away from the model in the last scenes. Heh I'm a bloke I cant help it.
Everyday, Ha not everyday by a long shot but real blokes building hardcore bikes with what they can afford and get hold of, adding in a little street riders philosofe and having a good time doing it.

Pros - Exactly what you want in a bike DVD, just great tunes and looking at cool bikes. They do quick build stories with the owners so you know how the bike came to be or maybe who makes a part that you see and decide you cant live without.
Cons - NA
Was my intro to the Choppahead guys and I am a fan of all they do now. I bought the other two DVDs in this series without even reading what they were about.
