This extended brake rod replaces the stock length one when you hardtail your Triumph and the hardtail is longer than stock length. This stainless steel brake rod is 27-1/2" long, which is 6" longer than stock, and has 5-3/4" of whitworth thread at the end so you can use your stock brake adjuster nut. This will work for a 2", 4" or 6" stretch hardtail, and there is enough thread that if it is too long just cut the excess off of the threaded end. Stainless steel, so no need to paint it, and you can polish it up to a mirror finish for that show quality look.
