Description

Boyer has been providing electronic ignitions for a long time, they have been tried and tested and remain a common and excellent upgrade for your Triumph or BSA motorcycle.

This allows you to ditch your points and condenser and upgrade to modern electronics. The Boyer Electronic Ignition electronically advances your timing to get optimum performance out of your British motorcycle. This unit will work on Triumph and BSA 500 / 650 / 750 c.c. bikes with 12 volt systems.

Pros - simplicity of the install

Cons - Had to shave outside diameter of the plastic backing plate slightly with a piece of sand paper so it would sit properly inside of my points compartment

I was impressed with how easy it was to install this ignition. Fired right up after first try. As long as you line up the correct hole with the magnet/pickup your in time.

Pros - easy to install and adjust, never goes out of adjustment.

Cons - almost too easy...

These systems have transformed my old Triumphs. I have one on my Tiger, and one on my Bonnie, and they were super simple to install, never move, and generally make these bikes easier to live with.
