This replacement stator fits 1988 - 1999 Harley-Davidson Evo Big Twins with a 32 amp alternator. Cycle Electric stators offer insulation able to withstand temperatures of 600 degrees F to eliminate stator burn out and better low speed output to reduce battery discharge at idle. The lower operating temperature leads to a longer service life. Featuring improved plugs that will not swell or separate. This can also be used on earlier 1970 - 1988 models with shim kit CE-8120 and you must use rotor part # CE-8100 for the upgrade. Installing this stator and rotor combo on earlier bikes will upgrade the charging system on the earlier bikes from 18-22 to 32 amps. Cycle Electric part # CE-8999A. Made in Ohio, USA.
