The Giddy Up is one of our favorite events of the year, It's small enough to be intimate, yet packed with killer motorcycles, great people, gorgeous riding through hill country, and Texas hospitality. Top that off with great bands such as Dale Watson this year, and one lucky person got to go home with a handbuilt chopper, what else can you ask for!?
Rigid front ends, Cowboy hats, beers and a whole lot of good times. Giddy Up 2017
This year kicked off of the pre-party at Gruene Harley Davidson, then the party moved off to the campgrounds and went to pretty late into the night. Those of us awake early the day of the show were treated to some incredible craftsmanship and were able to pour over the motorcycles on display. Bands started early in the afternoon and went until almost 8 o'clock when they drew the winner and one lucky man named Billy Canales was sent home with the 1956 Panhead giveaway bike! In between was a blur of people from all over Texas and the rest of the country, more motorcycles riding by the venue then you could count, sun and beautiful weather, and more than a few Lone Star beers.
Hopefully these pictures from Heath Braun aka The Great White Bison give you a bit of an idea of how cool this event is. A special thanks to everyone involved putting it on, and we can't wait until next year!
