I'm assembling a bitsa 1973 XLH out of left over parts I have had for many years. I got tired of trying to find an OG gas tank as most of them were either bondo filled or full of rust. In addition the price for a very rough tank was at or above the cost of a new reproduction. I am very happy with this tank. It fits correctly and can easily be painted without time consuming preparation.

I was expecting this to be average quality because it seemed to be one of the cheapest tanks. Its actually really well made. Needs a bit of love before paint to get tooling marks out, but so much easier than dealing with a dented and rusty 2nd hand tank. Only issue I've come across is there isn't much space for a fuel tap if you're running a mikuni VM carb. If you're running stock carb there will be plenty of space.
