  • Michael Lichter Presents: Motorcycles As Art "Old Iron, Young Blood" Show

A few months back, maybe around mid June, I received a phone call from the living legend Michael Lichter. For those who may not know who Michael Lichter is, he is a world renowned photographer in the motorcycle community/industry with his primary work for Easy Riders Magazine. Michael has been published in practically everything that is motorcycle related over the last 40 years, and is one of the hardest working people in the business. I'm not really sure how he even acquired my phone number b Continue Reading »

  • Lowbrow Does Sturgis 2017

The little town of Sturgis, South Dakota, population just over 6,600 turns into a motorcycle haven for one week a year in early August. It houses over a half million motorcycle enthusiasts that come from all over the world. Now on its 77th annual rally and none of us here at Lowbrow  Customs have ever been, I asked if I could see what all the fuss was about. It also helped the convincing a little more that Michael Lichter invited me to show some of my photography at his "Motorcycles As Art" s Continue Reading »

  • Fuel Cleveland Motorcycle, Art & Photograph Show 2017

Fuel Cleveland now on it's third year was larger than ever, housing close to ninety motorcycles as well as the work of fourteen photographers and fourteen artists in the Hamilton Collaborative building on Cleveland's East side. Attached to the building is also a motorcycle collaborative garage called Skidmark Garage which entertained show goers and showcased what their community is all about all day long. With thousands of people pouring in through out the day for this free motorcycle show, I Continue Reading »

  • The Lowbrow Getdown 2017 - Lowbrow Customs

Well, we survived yet another year of shenanigans in the woods. The Lowbrow Getdown, like years prior, was a bit different, full of surprises and special in it's own little ways. From Russian Pizza shots, to nuts-to-butts flaming torches, swimming, the occasional explosion, music, and of course the beloved guys trying to blow up their motors at 5am by revving them to the limit. This year's Lowbrow Getdown did not disappoint by any means. There were tons of brilliant bikes, some really inno Continue Reading »

  • The Handbuilt Show 2017

This year I decided to take a little break from motorcycles, and go check out a motorcycle show I had never been to (There is a big difference from the crowd rather than behind a booth!). I'd seen coverage and photos from the Handbuilt show put on by the fellows at Revival Cycles before and it always looked like a great show, and of course the location in Austin, Texas was just a bonus. Showing up at Fair Market, the venue for the show, I was greeted with delicious smells from several food tr Continue Reading »

  • Giddy Up Texas Vintage Chopper Show 2017

The Giddy Up is one of our favorite events of the year, It's small enough to be intimate, yet packed with killer motorcycles, great people, gorgeous riding through hill country, and Texas hospitality. Top that off with great bands such as Dale Watson this year, and one lucky person got to go home with a handbuilt chopper, what else can you ask for!?  Rigid front ends, Cowboy hats, beers and a whole lot of good times. Giddy Up 2017 This year kicked off of the pre-party at Gruene Harley Dav Continue Reading »

  • Mama Tried Show 2017 Weekend

Mama Tried 2017 Weekend The past 4 years there has only been one place to be in February and that is Milwuakee, Wisconsin at The Mama Tried Show. Surrounded by a weekend jam packed full of festivities, there is no reason one should ever leave on Sunday back home with a feeling of disappointment. From the flat track racing on Friday, to the Harley-Davidson Museum, to the show it's self. Every single year I leave exhausted and overwhelmed by the amount of motorcycle fun there is. With nev Continue Reading »

  • Flat Out Friday 2017 Preview

Here are a few images from tonight's intense and insane shenanigans that went down at Flat Friday 2017 held at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwuakee Wisconsin. From crazy hooligan races to vintage bikes, and even some weird mini bike racing. There was something for everyone tonight, we even got a small taste of what it was like to be in the "Thunder Dome". Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store with the Mama Tried Show. More photos to come from Flat out Friday. Flat Out Frida Continue Reading »

  • Cross Country Trip 2016 - Part 1

There are a few different approaches to riding motorcycles cross country but having no real game plan other than knowing you have to head west and be in Orange, California in 8 days makes for some of the best memories in life. Yes, there was a general consensus on how many miles we wanted to do per day but nothing was set in stone. This thought process really left it up to the road and the bikes to make the decisions for us on where we would end up.  Cross Country Trip 2016 To Born Fr Continue Reading »

  • Lowbrow Getdown 2016

It is hard to believe Lowbrow Getdown 2016 has already come to pass. Each year we celebrate Ohio's warmer months by having a huge moto camping party at Nelson Ledges Quarry park in July. You never really know what you are in for when you arrive at The Lowbrow Getdown, but it's always extremely fun. In year's past we have been in the middle of a rave, had guys rock the stage like David Allen Coe and Blue Oyster Cult, and we even had a Biltwell Cocktagon fight on the beach. This year we kept Continue Reading »
