This Sporty frisco mount gas tank will sit up higher on your backbone than the standard tank. These 2.5+ gallon gas tanks are top quality, nice thick steel with a center mount American style filler bung that accepts stock style screw in filler cap. Thes tanks feature a single 22mm outside petcock fitting, and a vent tube that is soldered shut. To run the vent tube just melt the solder out, though the gas cap bung is set up for a vented cap anyway. The tank shells are stamped from 1mm (approx. 19 ga.) steel. Another quality part from Cleveland CycleWerks.
Same dimensions as our standard Sporty tank, just with a shallow tunnel and undrilled mounting tabs front and rear.
Tanks are pressure tested at the factory, but it is highly recommended you or your painter pressure test it again before painting; it's cheap insurance!

Pros - matches as described Cons - petcock needs to be moved to the rear. 4/5 only cause the petcock location sucks. |

Pros - Good price Cons - One of the mounting tabs was wrongly placed and needed some cutting to make it right Sits on a good height of your frame, would be even better if it had the petcock moved back |

Pros - Great Quality Cons - Petcock needs to be moved towards the back instead of towards the middle. Great tank for the price. Since its a frisco'd tank it would make a lot more sense if the petcock was moved the the rear and the filler was more towards the top. I probably lose around .5 gallon due to both of these issues. |

Pros - heavy duty steel. plenty thick to make any necessary changes ie. change cap or sight gauge and still be able for a DIYer to weld back up Cons - wish it was seal inside.... asking too much?? yeah. had a bad experience doing it myself anyone with decent paint skills could make some cash painting these tanks and reselling them |

Pros - Affordable Cons - ????? Great tank for the price, vent tube saves a lot of trouble when running a sealed cap |
