Led Sled Customs FAQ
What is the difference between the spool hub and narrow flange Invader front wheels?
The spool hub has no brake rotor mounting tabs, making it the right choice for front ends running a drum brake or no front brake. The narrow flange Invader wheel includes a brake disc mounting flange for a front disc setup, while the wide flange version accommodates larger-diameter rotors. Choose the wheel style based on your front brake configuration before ordering.
Do the Led Sled steel fenders require any modifications to fit a 16-inch rear wheel?
The fenders are designed to clear 16-inch tires in the listed profiles. Stock-style Dunlop fenders are shaped for modern low-profile 16-inch tires, while the vintage-style version is designed for taller-profile vintage tires with a larger overall diameter on the same 16-inch rim. Confirm which tire profile you're running before choosing, since the clearance difference can matter on a tight chopper build.
Are the raw steel wheels ready to bolt on as shipped?
No. Raw steel wheels are unfinished and should be sealed, painted, or powder coated before installation to help prevent surface rust. Chrome and gloss black versions are already finished and ready to mount. If you plan to paint or powder coat the wheel a custom color, raw steel is the best starting point.
