Nice quality. Going to look great on my chopper project.
Excellent fit and finish. Custom look.
These fit and look sweet on a 2012 Sportster XL1200C with 12" apes. Installation can be a b***h but with a rag over a ratchet with an extension and 1/2" hex bit I was able to muscle them in place. You'll need an 1-3/8" wrench or crows foot like I used to get the factory ones off. Be ready for spring pressure! I got these during a sitewide sale so they were even cheaper. Rock on!
Awesome product! Quick install
I been a machinist for 34 years, so I know good solid parts when I see them, and this is one of them, and for the price you cant beat this with a stick....highly recommended .
Looks and fits great.
They look good. Cant wait to get them on the bike, just haven't had the time yet.
I was having...
I was having problems with my keystone z-bars hitting the stock fork caps on sportster 48. Put these beauties on and now have no problems. Not to mention they look awesome.
Sportster 48 2012...
Sportster 48 2012 1. remove handle bar clamp (12-18 foot lbs) move bars out of the way and loosen the top triple tree clamps (30 - 35 ft lbs) 2. Jack up the Bike to relieve some tension off the front fork springs . remove the fork caps (put tension on it as you back them out so they dont go flying) 3. Put alot of pressure on the new brass fork caps with a giant allen socket. I used an Impact gun and had a buddy put alot of pressure down and slowly shot the caps in. (TQ check 22- 58 ft lbs) sit back and enjoy. * brass is very soft and scratches easily be careful not to marr it
These fork caps...
These fork caps look awesome. I've been wanting to remove as much chrome as possible on my bike. These caps were the first brass components I installed and just continued from there. I love em..
These look great,...
These look great, match my other brass parts. It was kinda hard to find an allen big enough to fit these in my area, good excuse to buy new tools though. When you take your old caps off keep pressure on the cap or your springs will fly out like confetti!
Fit great. Sealed...
Fit great. Sealed great. Took a little elbow grease and patience to get the springs compressed and the cap threads started with Allen wrench set up. Use a socket! Thanks as always lowbrow
