Our stainless steel rear axle collars adapt a 3/4" diameter axle to any frame with 7/8" axle slots. This 7/8" slot size is common; it is found on OEM rigid Harley-Davidsons, Paughco frames, and many other aftermarket and custom frames (these are not necessary for Gasbox Full Frames). The 7/8" axle slots on earlier frames accepted Harley drum brake rear wheels. If you are looking to run a disc brake rear wheel on a frame with 7/8" axle slots, these axle adapters make it easy to run a rear wheel that uses a 3/4" axle. Sold as a pair, stainless steel.
These axle collars properly center the axle in the slot, and work well with stock-style Harley axle adjusters (Harley-style OEM 41576-36) that push back on the flats, which also self-aligns the axle adapters so the flat is vertical. When used on a Harley OEM rigid Panhead frame, rear axle SKU 015349 as used on a 1979-1999 Harley Sportster is the proper width when paired with these axle collars. Note that the 79-99 Sportster wheel spacers that may come with the axle kit most likely won't work for a custom wheel application on a Panhead frame.
