Trader Cody’s Midway Shovelhead mid controls are created to put your foot between your motor and tranny on an open belt chopper. They are designed to fit with cone Shovelhead (1970-1984) and Evo engines (1984-1999) with a 4 speed transmission. Midway Mids are a finished part in black or chrome and feature brass bushings for long life, with all components needed to have a working right side control. For use of belts up to 2” and transmissions with a main shaft support.

Shift linkage to reach the tranny. (There are to many variables i.e. ratchet top or rotary, foot clutch or hand shift, FL or FX shift pattern.)
Bolts. Again because of so many variables and finish you will have to buy 4 bolts to mount the Midway Mids to your transmission and engine. The tranny side should be 3/8x16 and the engine side should be 5-16x18.

The options and part numbers I have listed below are my recommendations for what I know works, although there are other ways to mount these mids and connect them to your transmissions.
The Trader Cody Choppers Midway Mids (tccmm) are made to put your foot peg and shifting lever between your engine and transmission on all alternator cases with a 4-speed transmission and open belt drive up to 2”. The TCCMM are designed with the use of a main shaft support bearing and alternator cover ring such as V-twin #20-0330, and for the main shaft you can use any V-twin, Baker, American Prime. You do not have to use the alternator cover and transmission main shaft support though, you can use 1/2” spacers in their place (not included in the kit). It does not matter what brand of open primary belt you use as long as it is 2” or under.
Engine year range:
Harley-Davidson Big Twins 1970-1999 (and aftermarket engines based on these year bikes)
Transmission year range:
1965-1985 (and aftermarket transmissions that are based around these years)
Brake options for the right side: For the right side of your bike and the rear brake I recommend you use an OEM FX or FXE brake pedal assembly, or you can use SKU 017628 Mid Brake Control Kit. If your bike does not have a master cylinder mount an option you can use the SKU 017633 Trader Cody's Rear Master Cylinder Mount for Harley-Davidson 4 Speeds.
