      Motorcycle Brake Light Switches FAQ

How do I know if my brake light switch is failing?
Common signs include your brake light either staying on all the time, not coming on at all when you press the brake, or working intermittently. It's a cheap and easy part to replace for peace of mind.
How does a hydraulic brake light switch work?
A hydraulic switch replaces the banjo bolt in your brake line. When you apply the brakes, the pressure of the brake fluid activates the switch, turning on your brake light. This eliminates the need for mechanical springs or tabs.
Are your switches difficult to install?
Most are straightforward installations. OEM-style switches are a direct replacement, while hydraulic switches simply replace a banjo bolt. Both typically only require connecting two wires to your existing motorcycle electrical wiring.
