Works a treat :ok_hand::type_3:
When fitting this to an actual pre-unit engine in a stock swing-arm frame it is necessary to use a manifold extension so the carb will clear the magneto body. If this isn't done the carb will be forced against the magneto body with the possibility of damage to either the magneto cover or the carb or both. A Webco replica manifold extension (or "spacer") can be used which will bring the carb out an additional inch from the manifold. This will still allow 1/2" between the pancake air filter and the main down post of the swing-arm frame. NOTE: This applies when using an Amal carb, especially the 900 series Mark-1 or the 376 monobloc. I cannot speak about using other Amal models or other manufacturer's carbs.
Over all the magneto fitted perfectly in the space where the old one was previously. Not having a magneto to begin with I think this is a very reasonably priced option to go with, as opposed to finding an original and having it rebuilt.
For my BSA A7 it took a bit of grinding to fit in place. I aslo had to add about a 1 inch spacer for my carb to clear the Joe Hunt. It took some effort, but well worth it.
