will this work for a 1966 BSA A50 royal star? single carb?
A:
According to the application chart at Amals website your bike would have originally been equipped with a 376 monobloc carb but in 68 they switched to the 626 concentric that denotes a 600 series and the size would be 26 MM . The carb you are asking about is a 900 series in 30 mm {930} If you want to use the 626 you will need this one http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/amal-carburetors-for-triumph-bsa-norton-british-motorcycles-626-right.html although the main jet and slide are not the size they are calling for your application . As stated at the listing -626 series carbs come complete with a 160 main jet, 106 needle jet and 3.0 Amal says 200 main 3.5 slide all the other specs are ok . We do have those other parts available individually , we sell the carbs the way they come from our supplier and are not set up to be model specific .

I am using this on a single carb application on a 650 Tiger 1966. Is the slide and main jet that come with this carb what I need?
A:
Good Day, According to the specifications from Amal for a single carb application on a Triumph 650 engine using a 930 concentric you would use the following parts -
Main jet -230
Needle jet -106
Throttle slide - No. 3.5 cut away
The carbs we are stocking are not set up for model specific applications they are as sent to us from our supplier so it is up to the end user to change any parts that would be specific for their model .
Thanks
